Celebrate the Small Things 16-10-15

This post is part of  Lexa Cain's bloghop, Celebrate the Small Things (Lexa has just taken it over from VikLit who has hosted it for the last 2 years). Head on over there to join up!

So, what am I celebrating this week?

It's the weekend!  I'm at home!

After being away at a conference last weekend, then traveling for work until Wednesday, I'm just happy to be at home and not at work.

The ban on Into The River was lifted this week, so I'm feeling good about that. It's not even going to have to wear a parental warning sticker, or have an age restriction. I'm just nervous about what book those people are going to target next.

I haven't touched my revisions for over a week, but I'm looking forward to getting into them today.  After I clean the house and go to the gym and do all the other things I haven't done for over a week.

What are you celebrating this week?

  1. I just finished the rough draft of a short story I've been working on, so I'm now celebrating that.

Sometimes it really is nice to be home. Going away is great and all, but it's still great to get back to familiar things.

    Have a great weekend!

  3. It's always good to be home! Good luck getting to your revisions. And through them :)

  4. I'm glad they lifted the ban on the book. It'd be great to say "No banning books EVER!" But what about books that espouse hatred, intolerance, incite violence or have bomb-making instructions? I guess it's better to err on the side of caution. You're so busy! My only exercise is walking an hour to the store and back - and I usually come back with enough sweets to render the exercise moot. Ha! :)

  5. It's so good getting home after time away, it's one of those things we take for granted. Good luck with your revisions :)
