Celebrate the Small Things 8-3-19

What am I celebrating this week?

Rain!

It's been a really long, dry summer and the fire risk has been sky high for weeks, so when it started hosing down yesterday morning, I was grateful.  Even though I got soaked on my way to work.  And on my lunch break. And on my way home...  It's still raining off and on now and looks set to continue all weekend.  I think I can hear my garden singing hallelujahs.

I didn't get as much writing done this week as I would have liked.  It was one of those weeks at work where I wrote a lot during the day, and by the time I got home at night, there just weren't a whole lot of words left in me.  Hopefully I'll get some writing time over the weekend.

What are you celebrating this week?

  1. I'm glad you got some rain. I don't know if I'd be able to survive a summer in the southern hemisphere. You guys get more of the sun during summer! Hope you get your writing time in this weekend.

  2. We've surpassed our annual rainfall this winter, did so last week, here in Sacramento. I'm hoping this means California won't have the terrible fires this summer like last summer's tragedies.

  3. Rain for me now means the kids I work with won't get to go outside at daycare.

  4. Glad you got some rain. It keeps snowing here, so I'll be celebrating rain when it finally happens (probably in July at this rate.)
