So what am I celebrating this week?
So what am I celebrating this week?
Well, once again I didn't get through the writing work I wanted to do. My day job has been insane this week, and most nights I haven't got home until after seven. And on top of that, we found a house we want to buy and the tender closes on Friday next week. So any spare time I might have had has been sucked up with trying to make sure my finances are in order and trying to organize builders' reports, lawyers and stuff.
And it looks like next week is going to be just as crazy in that regard, so I had better lower my expectations a lot… Sometimes it's hard to admit you're not superwoman.
What are you celebrating this week?
You found a house so quickly! Yay! Compared to me, you're Superwoman, Superman, and Batman & Robin combined! I can't believe how much you do. Good luck with the red tape involved in getting the house, and I hope you have time to relax this weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteAs long as you keep writing and produce SOME words, you are moving forward. It's better than not getting anything done at all. And finding a house is no small thing. Perhaps sometime soon you will have more time for getting writing done. Or perhaps you will just learn to fit your writing into the little time you have for it.

How stressful. Sorry you cant get as much work done as you want to. Good luck with the house.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get the writing work I wanted done either, but there were still achievements.
ReplyDeleteHope the new house comes through. Sounds exciting actually. Maybe you could write a few lines to keep the writing momentum going. It doesn't take much.
ReplyDeleteIt can be hard realizing we aren't Superwoman- but important to lower our expectations when life gets in the way! Good luck with the house and I hope the day job is less stressful this coming week. :)

I hope everything goes well with the house and that you manage to find some writing time soon!
