So what am I celebrating this week?
It's the end of the working year!
Yes, today is my last day of work until 16 January and you'd better believe I am looking forward to the break. It has been a long year and it has been a difficult year and I am looking forward to it being over. I have high hopes that 2017 will be better.
I've finished my Christmas shopping and have everything prepared as much as I can. I actually just want the Christmas part to be over so I can focus on doing some much-needed cleaning up before we go away to the beach house in January.
My sister arrives from the US today, but I won't see her until Christmas Day because I'm working today (and as usual, there's a last-minute crisis to deal with) and tomorrow I have to go up the coast to pick up my older son who has been staying with a friend for a few days. So it will be Christmas before I catch up with my sister and her family. My niece is 5 now! Wonder if she'll still remember the boys and me….
What are you celebrating this week? The holidays? Or has something else exciting rocked your world this week?
What a long break! That sounds great. I hope all the crises get resolved and you can enjoy your Christmas :)
