Celebrate the Small Things 12-8-16
This post is part of Lexa Cain's bloghop, Celebrate the Small Things. Head on over there to join up!
So what am I celebrating this week?
It's Friday and I have absolutely nothing planned for the weekend. Well, apart from taking the kids to the premiere of a new Disney film that was shot in New Zealand tonight. They're pretty excited about it too…
I've revised eight chapters of my book so far, so am on track to meet my goal of ten chapters this week. I know it's going to get harder as I get further through the book, because I remember when I wrote it I knew the middle was getting baggy and bogged down with people just sitting and talking. So once I get to that point, I'll have to figure out how to fix it. But for now, I'm taking it one chapter at a time.
I finally decided to change the look of my blog. I'm not 100% sure I like it yet, but I think that's just because it's new and I haven't got used to it yet. I definitely think it's easier to read!
What are you celebrating this week?

I like the new look. And one chapter at a time is the best way to take it. You'll get it done :)
ReplyDeleteBaggy and bogged down, lol! That's how I'm going to start referring to my middles as well. =) Middles are hard! Have fun at the movie! Is it Pete's Dragon?
ReplyDeleteI like your new blog look :) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI like the new look, too. I've always been partial to purple. Congrats on your revising progress and good luck figuring out that middle part!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow ~ it's totally different! I think the gray is probably more reader friendly. You need a great header though. Maybe something that reflects writing, romance, contemp, etc. Good luck with fixing the "muddy middle" of your WIP. Have a good weekend!
