As I expected, I got edit notes from my agents over the weekend, so Pieces of Luke will have to go on the back burner while I address those. Luckily the book is in a good place to leave it after all the work I did over the last couple of weeks.
But for now, it's back to My Murder Year. The majority of changes are going to be fairly easy to make happen, but there is one big picture thing I'm struggling with a little. So I'll work through the easier stuff first, and see how I feel about the big thing once I've made the smaller adjustments.
And that's it for this week really. I have nothing major or hugely pressing to do at work, which makes a nice change. Although of course, that may change tomorrow… You never know in my job! But fingers crossed I can have a fairly chilled week in which I can focus time and energy onto my MS. I'd like to get the revisions turned around so I can get back to the old WIP…

Celebrate the Small Things 13-5-16
So what am I celebrating this week?
My birthday!
Yes, it's my birthday on Sunday so I have a whole weekend of celebrating ahead of me. Starting around about now with a nice, big, glass of red wine….
I finished my re-write/re-work of the first half of my book and have started writing new stuff again. It feels great being back on track with this project and I hope I can meet my deadline of mid-June to have the first draft done. Of course, taking this weekend off to relax won't help with that, but hopefully next week I can get back to writing 2K a day like I did during Camp NaNo.
I've made some big progress on something at work I thought was going to be extremely arduous, and hope to have a lot more completed by the end of next week, before the rest of my team get back from Cannes. Amazing how much easier it is to focus on one thing when the office is quiet.
And that's about it for me. What are you celebrating this week?

Cloaked in Blood releases!
But enough of my blathering. You just want to know about the book, don't you?
Book & Author Details:
Cloaked in Blood by T.F. Walsh
(The Wulfkin Legacy #3)
Published by: Crimson Romance
Publication date: May 9th 2016
Genres: Adult, Paranormal
Synopsis:
The daughter of a sultan alpha, Selena Kurt agrees to an arranged wulfkin mating to protect her sister from a dangerous alpha from the enemy clan. To her surprise, her match is Marcin Ulf, the next in line for the Hungarian throne . . . and the wulfkin who broke her heart years ago.
Marcin is just as shocked to learn he'll be matched to the enemy's daughter and the woman he's never forgotten. Before they can be paired, however, they're drawn into a tournament where Marcin will compete to free his estranged imprisoned brother, while Selena battles for the life of another wulfkin alpha. Both intend to seize this chance to save those they're fighting for - even if it means facing off with one another just as their romance rekindles.
Will tribe loyalty triumph, or will they realize they're better off as a team before it's too late?

Weekly Goals 9-5-16
My goals this week? Pretty much the same as last week, to be honest. I didn't quite finish the tidy up of the early part of my new book, so this week that work continues.
I hope to be done with that in a couple of days so I can start writing forward again before the end of the week, but if I don't, I'm not going to beat myself up. The more work I do on the early part of the book now, the less I'll have to do later, right?
Anyway, that's my theory, and 'm sticking to it!

Celebrate the Small Things 6-5-16
So what am I celebrating this week?
The A - Z Blogging Challenge is over! It was fun, but writing posts every day, plus trying to visit at least 4 or 5 other blogs each day, plus writing and life in general made April very, very busy. I love it, but glad it's over until next year.
I hit my 40K goal in Camp NaNo, so have a bunch of words to play with for my new book. I messed up a little with this one and started too late in the story and wound up writing a whole lot more than I needed at the beginning of the book. So rather than carrying on and going to fix it later, I've gone back to fix everything I know I got wrong while I still remember what I was thinking. Hopefully by the middle of next week I will have all that squared away and can get on with writing the rest of the book.
I'm aiming to have the draft done by the second week of June. Hold me to that, will you? Although if I get notes from my agent on My Murder Year, that timing will go down the drain because I'll have to work on that instead of finishing this new book.
Looking forward to the weekend. It's been a crazy couple of weeks at work, but I think things will settle down from here for at least two or three weeks.
What are you celebrating this week?
