Celebrate the Small Things 30-9-16
This post is part of Lexa Cain's bloghop, Celebrate the Small Things. Head on over there to join up!
So what am I celebrating this week?
It's the weekend!
I know I had two days off at the beginning of the week, but I don't think I have ever been so glad it's Friday in my life. After attending a conference all of last weekend, then spending two days helping my friend, I don't feel like I got much of a break, even if I wasn't at work.
And then when I got back, of course the work had piled up, so it's been a difficult couple of days there too.
So weekend!
I finished Sam and Amy (still haven't thought of a better title), but while going through the manuscript with a fine-toothed comb, I figured out a few problems with Amy's character. So now I need to do another pass through with that in mind to see if I can clear a few things up. I hope to be done within a week. The changes won't be big, just a line here or there.
So if anyone is up for doing a read for me, I should have something to send by the end of next week. I'd really appreciate some fresh eyes on this one.
What are you celebrating this week?

Sometimes non-work can be just as hard as work. Good luck with your book.
ReplyDeleteDo you have chapter titles? Is there one you particularly like? Or a chapter that's particularly important?
ReplyDeleteI think your title should have something to do with a quake. Or moving earth. But sometimes it's hard. I have no clue what my 3rd-in-line WIP will be called. I think about it a lot but nothing comes... (Sort of like the male character's personality and plotline in WIP #2...) Yay for your weekend off. Have a relaxing time. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you're getting a chance to rest. I'm celebrating a free weekend, too. This is one of the few when I don't have to go somewhere either day. Good luck with your title search!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the manuscript! I hope you're having a great weekend!
