This post is part of VikLit's blog hop, Celebrate the Small Things. Head on over there to join up!
So, what am I celebrating this week?
I had a day off! I know that probably doesn't sound like something so momentous, but after working 11 days straight, it really felt like it. Plus, it was my birthday, so it was extra special. I had a lovely time just wandering around town, doing a little shopping for myself for a change.
I've managed to get quite a bit of writing done this week. I think I'm about 2 chapters from the end of the book now. It's going to need a crap-ton of editing because it's a mess, but at least the first draft is almost done.
And that's about it for this week. What are you celebrating?
The first couple drafts are always messy, but its better than nothing, right? Have fun finishing up, you're almost there!ReplyDelete
And happy belated birthday! Glad you had that much needed day off. :D
I'm just about to start revisions on my first draft, I know that's a mess!ReplyDelete
Happy belated birthday, I hope you enjoyed your day off.
Happy birthday, and that's wonderful that you're in the home stretch of writing your first draft. You're about to hit a big milestone.ReplyDelete
Days off are always worth celebrating! That also sounds like the perfect birthday :). Happy birthday, by the way. I hope your year is full of words.ReplyDelete

Major congratulations for getting the writing done and being within sight of the first (kinda) finished draft. I find I get excited and apprehensive at the same time...ReplyDelete
