Celebrate the Small Things 7-3-14

This post is part of VikLit's blog hop, Celebrate the Small Things. Head on over there to join up!

So, what am I celebrating this week?

The main thing? This article. It has really made me reassess my career in many ways, not to mention make me tear up at work!

I've been working on another revision, this time on STUMPED.  And after not having read it for over 6 months, I'm kind of amazed at how good some of it is. I didn't think I could write like that, but I know I wrote this stuff, so....

I'm going to see the Tiger Lillies on Sunday and I can't wait.  I've seen them four or five times before, and they are always brilliant.  Demented, but brilliant.

What are you celebrating this week?

  1. Thanks for sharing this article, I found it very relevant to my current work situation. Fortunately I'll be on maternity leave in a few weeks so I can escape it, at least for a little while.
    Have a great weekend!

  2. It's always nice when you revisit a WIP and find that, not only do you like it, but it's better than you remember. Or parts of it, anyway.

    Enjoy the Tiger Lillies!

  3. Yay for Tiger Lilies and some well deserved down time! I'm slogging through my first draft and know when I read it from the beginning I'm gonna have the opposite reaction as you. I'll have my finger over the delete button and want to trash the whole thing. :P

    1. Don't you dare delete a single word! At least, not until I get to read it and tell you it's not the pile of poop I know you think it is.

  4. Dedicated to you, wow. I guess you made an impression :).

If you're impressed with your book after six months, you must be a good writer.
