There have been some amazing entries, and I want to thank everyone who has taken part, either as a writer or just a reader. So, now comes the fun part! In the comments, tell me whose beginning, middle and end you liked the most! The ones who get the most votes will win prizes. We all love prizes, don't we? I have copies of an extremely limited edition of short stories to give away (only 50 were ever printed), plus one lucky writer will get a query and first chapter critique from yours truly. Sound worth playing for? So get voting!
This was way hard! I think all the snippets were awesome. I'd have to choose Annalise Green's snippet. Her first sentence held my attention.
ReplyDeleteGood luck everyone!
I loved everyone's stuff. It is really hard because everyone is so talented, but I would have to say I liked Kristin Baker Przyblyla's.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck.
Well, I guess with only two votes, we have our two winners!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Annalise and Kristin!
Oh, I'm a terrible person! I made a note to myself to vote on Saturday, but had a houseful of sick kids so it flew out of my mind. :( I loved all of the entries, and this was my favorite blogfest so far. I hope you make this a regular event! I promise I won't forget to vote next time! :)
ReplyDeleteI know how that is, Kristin. Don't worry. We'll definitely do this again in the future. Now, down to the serious part. Would you prefer a critique or a book as your prize?
ReplyDeleteSince I have a towering stack of books to be read that will keep me busy for quite a long time, I'd love a critique!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Just email me your query and first chapter and I'll get onto it.

Yay, free stories! This works well because I honestly don't have much for people to critique right now.
