Celebrate the Small Things 19-5-17

This post is part of Lexa Cain's bloghop, Celebrate the Small Things. Head on over there to join up!

So what am I celebrating this week?

New house!

We're in.  We're about 3/4 unpacked and the old house is sold and settled.  It's a total relief.  And the new house is great!  Even with stacks of boxes around the place, it's more spacious.  Now I just have to get the little bits of work done to it that need doing, and finish unpacking.  Thank goodness we have a weekend coming up!

Now that the house hunting and the big move are over, I hope to get settled into my writing routine again.  I just need to find a place to work in this house.  The one thing it's missing is a writing room for me.  But it's big enough I'm sure I can find myself a wee nook somewhere.

What are you celebrating this week?

  1. Here's hoping you find it. I haven't had a good one in a while, sort of been improvising.

  5. I am so sorry. My brain isn't working yet. Congratulations on the new home. I am amazed at all you've accomplished at so fast! Do you already have a writing desk?

  6. 3/4 unpacked is awesome. I've been in my new house for two years now, and I still have boxes waiting to be unpacked. I'm guessing they'll be waiting a while longer, too. :)

Best of luck with your writing nook hunt!

  8. You're going to have fun setting up your new home. It usually takes me at least a year rearranging everything. Congratulations on the new house!

  9. Woohoo on moving... that would be a mission in itself. Good luck with unpacking, but I'm sure there is no rush, so you can take your time and make it the way you want it :)

  10. I know that feeling when you're itching to get back to writing but circumstances are conspiring against you. I don't have a special place to write. Usually on the lounge. Speaking of writing I finally returned to my WIP last week after focusing on the A - Z Blogging Challenge in April.

  11. Wow! You are getting settled and unpacked and that must feel great. Moving is so stressful- but once everything is in place it is a good feeling. Wishing you all the best! :)
