Celebrate the Small Things: 5-5-17
This post is part of Lexa Cain's bloghop, Celebrate the Small Things. Head on over there to join up!
So what am I celebrating this week?
It's Friday, and after the week I've had, I'm SO grateful for that. Not that my weekend is going to be all that restful. I have to make a start on packing up the house… But at least that's something different from the work I've been doing all week.
I've made a good start on the opening chapter of my ghostwriting project and I'm excited to keep writing. It's going to be a couple of weeks before I can really settle into it with moving and everything, but I will keep trucking away at it.
What are you celebrating this week?

Moving's probably going to take up a lot of time! Hopefully you can still get some words in here or there.
ReplyDeleteThe story I've been working on, I finally figured out the full shape of it, which for something I started writing before that...It's gratifying, to be able to do that with any story, but when it happens while you're actually writing...I think that's rare and it shows more often than you'd think, how a writer doesn't allow a story to breathe but merely forges ahead with whatever it was they originally thought. At a certain point, the story knows better than you do what should be happening. The more you think about it, the more you realize this. Anyone who argues that a work-in-progress can't change, doesn't know the first thing about writing. That's what bothers me most about how pop culture fandom has evolved the last twenty years. If anything we've embraced the complete opposite, and that just baffles me.
ReplyDeleteIt makes me so happy to hear your enthusiasm about your new project even though you have SO much going on. If anyone was meant to be a writer, you sure are! Good luck with the packing and then the move!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your project, and your move! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your packing! I know moving is a lot of work. Glad to hear that your ghost writing project is going well. Hope your weekend is productive!

Congratulations on getting some good writing done. I can imagine what a great feeling that must've been.
