It's the end of the week, so what am I celebrating?
It's the weekend!
And boy do I need it. It has been a crazy busy week at work, and next week is going to be even more so. I feel like I'm not going to get any real chance at downtime until the Christmas break. And that feels like it's a long way away.
No new rejections this week which is nice. Although, I don't have a huge number of outstanding queries that aren't old enough for me to call them rejections purely based on the fact it's been 5 or 6 months with no response.
Film Festival tickets went on sale this week, and after a very frustrating day of trying to book and the system crashing, I managed to get tickets for everything I wanted and can go to. Annoyingly, the orchestra is playing both weekends, so I'll be working and traveling when some of the films I most wanted to see are on.
And that's about it for celebrating this week. I've been so busy I haven't even managed to do flash fiction this week. I suspect it might be a while before I manage a full week of that again.
