Celebrate the Small Things 5-10-18

This post is part of Lexa Cain's bloghop, Celebrate the Small Things. Head on over there to join up!

What am I celebrating this week?

We made it through the first week of the school holidays and everyone is still alive.  I had one day off to spend with the kids, and next week I have two, so that should be good.  We had hoped to go away, but my partner's work schedule hasn't allowed that to happen.

I didn't get a lot of work done on my book, but I did start trying to salvage the beginning.  It's not quite as bad as I thought it might be, but there were a lot of little inconsistencies to clear up.  I will keep working on that during this week.

My quiz team decided to try a new quiz at a new venue and it was okay.  Certainly much faster moving than the one we've been going to.  We're going to stick with the new one for a few weeks to see if we continue to like it.  The only downside is that the beer is a lot more expensive.  But maybe that's a good thing in the long run.

What are you celebrating this week?

  1. Too bad you weren't able to get away. How's the weather? Is it feeling spring-like yet?
