Celebrate the Small Things 1-8-14

This post is part of VikLit's blog hop, Celebrate the Small Things. Head on over there to join up!

So, what am I celebrating this week?

After such big news last week, I really can't top it.  So my celebrations this week are really very small.

The Film Festival is on here which means we are stupidly busy at work.  Like really, really busy...  So I haven't had a lot of spare time for anything else.  I haven't even had a chance to see many films which is totally unlike me.  I'm hoping to make it to one this evening, but only if I don't fall asleep on the couch first.

With so much work, my rewriting and revising is going slowly.  But the good thing is I know a bunch of the stuff I need to do to make the story stronger.  After the FF is finished, I plan to take a couple of days off to spend at the library writing.  I know from past experience that I can get more done in one 7 hour stretch at the library, than I usually do at home in a week.

And that's about all from me this week...  What are you celebrating?

  1. Smaller news perhaps but still worthy of celebration. I missed your post last week so can I add my slightly belated congratulations on your brand new agent. Well done, I wish you every success.

  2. The 'littler things' sometimes are sweeter. (Though I wouldn't call an ongoing FF 'little') I hope things go well - Yay on the agent, again! - have a great weekend!

  4. I tend to do too much people watching at the library for it to be a productive trip, but it's great that it works well for you.

    Happy rewriting/revising.

  5. Not seeing a lot of films? That is unlike you. I hope you get time to see a couple and that the library trip speeds progress!

  7. I hope you get to see some films. I'm sure the library will yield lots of writing. It's something about being out of the house that does it :)
