Warm Fuzzies 2

It's week 2 of Juliana's Warm Fuzzies blogfest and this week I'm tasked with finding images or music to represent my work. Because I tend to write late at night or at 5 in the morning, I don't usually listen to music while I write, but I always have music in my head. So here are a few of the songs I think fit with The Boyfriend Plague. The first one was actually pretty crucial in Taillights too...

So, that's my book in songs. Think you know what it's about??? Go on, tell me!

  1. Lets see, I'm going to say its about some teenagers who want to be heard maybe? I am horrible at these things:)

  2. Young women, teen maybe rebelling against the need to have a boyfriend. Independence of the female gender...just what I'm picking up. Probably way off key!

  3. I loved how important music was in Taillights. I'm going with: how music speaks to people and helps them heal :)

  4. Well.... That was a big part of Taillights, but not so much in Boyfriend. The music I've listed here kind of points to the themes in the various sections of the book...

Hmmmm... May have given it away a little there....

  5. Twisted Sister-wow what a flashback for me! Anyway from that song and the ghosts in my mind one I'm thinking some sort of other worldly battle?

  6. Hi Kate! :) Is your WIP some kind of a comedy? Does it have to do with teens? Possibly an 80's theme? I love the music influence! Great job! :)

  7. I wonder if now is the time I should post the blurb so you can all see how your ideas fit the WIP.... But maybe I'll let you all keep guessing. This is fun!

But no, it's not a comedy, it's not set in the '80s and it's not set in another world.

  8. I can't get the sound on to hear these (doh!) but they all look quite teenage angst, fast-paced. Intrigued!
