Celebrate the Small Things 22-7-16

This post is part of Lexa Cain's bloghop, Celebrate the Small Things. Head on over there to join up!

So what am I celebrating this week?

The film festival started last night!  17 days of watching the best films the world has to offer.  And I don't even have to serve customers this year, which makes it even better.  I can just go to the cinema and enjoy the films.  I have tickets to something almost every night, so I'll be tired by the end of it, but happy.

The school holidays end today.  It's such a struggle to find things for the kids to do every day when they're not at school.  Especially since they've decided they hate the school holiday program that's close to us and is affordable.  I'm already dreading the next holidays and having to do it all over again.

What are you celebrating this week?

  2. My kids would be horrified if their vacation ended now. They have off from mid-June to the end of August and they enjoy every minute of it.
Have fun at the film festival!

  3. Kate, I don't think I could get into the idea of attending a film festival. I much prefer watching movies in the comfort of my home. We love to binge watch our favorite TV series or 2-3 movies in one evening. It's a great way to unwind! Summer vacation seems short now than it did when I was a kid. But, usually by the time school started again I was more than happy to return. lol Have a good weekend!

  5. How awesome about seeing so many great movies! Have fun! I grew up in a college town that had a ton of kids' summer programs, like swimming and gymnastics. The only one my mom signed me up for that I didn't like was agricultural. What 11-yr-old wants to spend hours in the sun weeding? Puh-lease...
