Celebrate the Small Things 11-3-16

This post is part of Lexa Cain's bloghop, Celebrate the Small Things. Head on over there to join up!

So what am I celebrating this week?

Having finished my book (well, except for that last read-through and incorporating CP notes), I've been enjoying a relaxing week.  I started watching House of Cards which I'm really enjoying so far.  I doubt I'll be able to get through all four seasons before I start a new book in April, but I'll do my best.

My best friend is in town this weekend doing a show in the Arts Festival, so I'm looking forward to catching up with her.  We see each other far too rarely!

Another friend's 86-year-old mother had breast cancer surgery this week and has come through it admirably.  So I'm celebrating that with her.

Tonight we had the school fair at my younger son's school and I helped run the cake stall. It was very successful and by 7pm we had only a handful of (mainly store-bought) cakes and cookies left to sell.

What are you celebrating this week?

  1. That's a good collection of things to celebrate! I'm surprised at the cake stall, though. Usually the not-so-hot store-bought items get snapped up in my neck of the woods. Some of us wonder if we have more than our share of space aliens here... Best of luck starting a new book in April!

  3. Glad you're liking House of Cards. I know you don't watch TV much. (I don't watch any anymore.) I'll try to finish your crits soon. Until then, enjoy meeting old friends and relaxing!

  5. Sounds like a got of good things to celebrate this week. I don't think I would have been able to resist temptation at a cake stall :).

  6. Well done on the cake stall - I'm sure the school is very grateful for parent volunteers helping to raise money for them and it is so very vital in this day and age :) Special Teaching at Pempi’s Palace
