Celebrating the Small things once more

This post is part of VikLit's blog hop, Celebrate the Small Things. Head on over there to join up!

So, what am I celebrating this week?

The main thing I'm celebrating this week is that we all survived the earthquake on Sunday, and I still have a job because the building I work in didn't sustain any damage.

The Film Festival started, so I'm looking forward to seeing some amazing movies over the next 3 weeks.

I had a couple of days off during the week and spent them with my kids who are on vacation at the moment.  It's so rare for me to spend full days with them and I enjoyed it, even if it was exhausting.  Water slides are great fun, but when you have to climb three flight of stairs to get to the top, it becomes a lot less fun after the 35th go....

What small things are you celebrating this week?

  1. I'd say surviving an earthquake is a great reason to celebrate! Glad you got some fun time with the kids, think of the steps as an extra workout!

  2. I agree with Suzanne on the earthquake thing. =)

And I agree with you on that water slide thing. I go to the water park once a summer with my niece, and I'm exhausted by mid-day.

  3. Yay for earthquake survival, a bunch of inspiring films, and for being a great mom. So they had to go up the water slides 35 times, huh? Well, bless their little hearts. :-)

  4. Yikes. So glad there wasn't any significant damage from the earthquake. Climbing up 35 times, good for the body and heart. : ) And lucky you, a film festival! Enjoy.

    1. So far, this one is the one I've loved the most. I think it might be the best film I've seen all year... http://www.nziff.co.nz/wellington/film/2ff2edc6-fb5f-4838-a77b-cbc9620ead44
