I already know there's a lot of rewriting needed. Various plot elements have proven more important to others as I write on, so the beginning is going to need to change a lot to reflect that. But overall, I'm pretty happy with how it's going. From here, I feel like I'm on the downhill stretch to the end. A lot more needs to happen, but I know where I'm going, and where I want to end up (although I have two endings and am not sure which one I'm going with yet).
So, let's see if I can actually get this done in the 18 days I have left.
What are you working on? Is it going well?
And don't forget to sign up for the Beginning, Middle and End Blogfest, happening this week.
What I'm working on is going slower than normal, and I'm forcing myself to be okay with this.
ReplyDeleteI also started to try to write in order. Doesn't work so well for me. I decided that's what's slowing me down, so I dug in and wrote the end. SO satisfying . . .
I know exactly how that is. I don't usually write in order either. But this time I have... mostly...
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're on track!
ReplyDeleteI am so mixed up right now that I have no idea what I'm working on. LOL. I've flip-flopped back and forth between two WIPs and now am considering a rewrite of an old book.
You can do it!
ReplyDeleteI'm rewriting a chapter book in third person - it might not stay that way, but I've learned a lot more about the character and her best pal (which is totally counter-intuitive, since it was in first person before), so it's worth it.
