Celebrate the Small Things 7-11-14
This post is part of VikLit's blog hop, Celebrate the Small Things. Head on over there to join up!
So, what am I celebrating this week?
I hit 10K in NaNo last night. Not amazing, but I didn't get started until Sunday night because I worked all of last weekend. So I'm calling that a win.
Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately), I got notes from my agent this morning, so I need to drop my NaNo project for a few days to work through the few things that need fixing up in that book. They're not huge things, so I'm hoping to get through them in a couple of days and then pick up the NaNo book again by Wednesday next week at the latest. It may be too late to catch up, but I'll give it a shot.
Not much else to celebrate this week though. It's been a long one, and not a lot of fun. I won't go into the details because it's all too depressing.
What are you celebrating this week?
Have never done NaNo. Don't have the stamina. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck with your edits, and hoping you have a better weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteI know you're feeling the pressure - but you should be very proud of everything you've accomplished so far. To me, you're a ROCK STAR!! :0
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your edits and NaNo! I hope next week is better for you.
ReplyDeleteYou're doing so well Kate... 10K is great progress on top of everything else. Do the best you can:)
ReplyDeleteGood luck on Nano. And your edits!
ReplyDelete10 K is not too shabby on Nano, especially when you're being pulled in many directions. So...yay you! :)
ReplyDeleteThis NaNo business sounds serious - not sure I'll ever take the plunge. Just stopping by- kind of late - but wanted to see your celebration for the week.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest - get that spirit back up!
My celebration - a sweet turkey roasting pan for $4.99 from Goodwill. Never used, and sells online for $189. Bring on the bird now!!!
